The ombudsman, Maria Lúcia Amaral, who went so far as to say that the constitutional revision was not a “pressing need”, continues to believe that the difficulties the country is experiencing do not stem from the Constitution, but now admits that the revision process of the Constitution opened by Parliament must be implemented and if it allows “clarifying problems, so much the better”.
