OP says work is progressing Los Beisbolistas avenue

The Minister of Public Works and Communications, Deligne Ascención, assured that vehicular traffic along Los Beisbolistas Avenue (the old Manoguayabo highway) will be restored in the coming days.
He affirmed that technicians from the MOPC and the company in charge of executing the work are working on correcting the pluvial drainage and the construction of a new bridge to later produce the filling and asphalting.

He announced that together with the mayor’s office of Santo Domingo Oeste, the MOPC is working on the construction of sidewalks and curbs for all the streets in the sector and in that municipality.

He explained that the Government spent 280 million pesos for the reconstruction of that road, so that the townspeople there can travel without any difficulty and have a better quality of life. The statements by the Minister of Public Works came while he was supervising the work being carried out for the reconstruction of Los Beisbolistas and Cordillera avenues, which have been claimed for decades.

Ascención, who was accompanied by Deputy Minister Roberto Herrera and Mayor José Andújar, received from MOPC technicians and collaborators the rigorous explanations regarding the progress of the work.

He stated that his visit there was due to instructions from President Luis Abinader, of whom he said he is very interested in the completion of these works as soon as possible so that the people of that and other adjacent communities regain normality in traffic and in their daily lives. .

He affirmed that the president decided to speed up the work to return splendor and ease of mobility to the locals, who had not received attention from the authorities for a long time.
