Hollywood star Owen Wilson (54) is in a first Trailers with the iconic curly hair and gentle voice of TV painter Bob Ross. In the comedy “Paint”, Wilson plays the painter Carl Nargle, whose character is probably based on Ross, who died in 1995.
Nargle shows his viewers how to paint landscapes until a talented young competitor shows up and “steals everything (and everyone) Carl loves.” BobRoss softly proclaimed the joys of painting in his program “The Joy of Painting” and is still revered worldwide today. Joining Wilson in the comedy, directed by Brit McAdams, are Michaela Watkins, Wendi McLendon-Covey, and Ciara Renée. Paint is slated to hit theaters in April.
