Belgium went into half-time trailing after a goal from Dave Scarlett (27′), but after half-time the roles were reversed thanks to Anthony Descotte (51′) from Charleroi and Arne Engels (61′) from Club Brugge. Scarlett (67′) brought the English alongside again, but Johan Bakayoko (79′) of PSV still gave the young Devils the victory.
In November, they will complete their qualifying campaign for the European U19 Championship with matches against Spain, Luxembourg and Azerbaijan.

U17 also wins
The young Red Devils U17 won 0-2 against Norway in Tubize on Tuesday in the first qualifying round for the European Championship in 2022 in Israel. They are now second in their group.
Noah Mawete (65′) of Standard opened the score for the Belgians halfway through the second half, Chemsdine Talbi (67′) of Club Brugge made it 0-2 barely two minutes later. The Norwegians were unable to react and so the three points went to the boys of national coach David Penneman.
Belgium surprisingly lost its first match 0-1 to Luxembourg. The second game against Azerbaijan had to be postponed last week due to corona cases among the Azeris. There is no new date for that party yet, the only remaining one for the Belgians in the meantime. Azerbaijan was also unable to finish his other two matches. The European Football Confederation UEFA has not yet decided what to do with those matches.
Luxembourg remains in the lead in group 3 with 4 four points. This is followed by Belgium with three points and Norway with one point. Azerbaijan logically has no points yet. The top two in the group advance to the next qualifying stage. The best numbers three still have a chance to push through. All matches in group 3 were played in Tubize.
