Hungary will not only stand up for Israel in words, but will also help the safety of thousands of Israelis by manufacturing mobile and tactical shelters, said Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó at a joint press conference with Israeli Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi in Petah Tikva.
Hungary attaches strategic importance to Hungarian-Israeli cooperation, and we are not only talking about it, but also doing so. Today, an agreement is signed between an Israeli defense industrial company and a Hungarian construction company, according to which more than a thousand special mobile and tactical shelters will be built in Hungary for Israeli orders, which will later be used here in Israel to defend against missile attacks.
Péter Szijjártó announced. He added that everything they have said will be turned into real deeds and can also help bring the lives of thousands and tens of thousands of Israelis to safety in the event of a rocket attack.
We regret that no common position has been reached in international political organizations on the assessment of this situation. We regret that the fact that Israel has been attacked by a terrorist organization has been disputed. We regret that some international organizations wanted to treat Israel and Hamas on the same level as if Hamas were an NGO. We also regret that international organizations have not spoken clearly about Israel’s right to self-defense.
– said the Minister, reminding: Hungary has vetoed several positions in the EU and UN institutions, which were “extremely unfair”.
Israeli Foreign Minister Gabi Askenázi thanked the Hungarian government and the Hungarian people for their strong support during the recent operation called Guardian of the Walls. He described Hungary as a strong friend of Israel, who always stood by them and showed his solidarity not only during the military operation, but also in international diplomacy.
