The PS parliamentary group wants polytechnics to be able to award doctorates. The rules for this to happen remain tight, as established in the law since 2018. That is what the proposed legislative text says that the Socialists are voting on this Wednesday in Parliament. But the diploma does not guarantee all the requirements of higher education institutions, as it pushes the creation of “polytechnic universities” to 2024, as a result of the ongoing revision of the Legal Regime of Higher Education Institutions (RJIES).
