Queen and princesses of Salvador’s Carnival are elected at an event

The Salvador Carnival already has a queen and princesses elected to represent the Bahian revelry. The contest took place on Tuesday night (14), in the neighborhood of Rio Vermelho.

The chosen queen of Carnival was Stephanie Lobo, 24 years old, while Mariele Paixão, 20 years old, and Aline Ouro, 29, were elected princesses.

The theme of this year’s contest was “Toda Menina Baiana”, as a way of honoring women from Bahia. A total of 12 candidates took part in the contest.

The contest featured choreographies and costumes created exclusively by stylist Sam Rocha. King Momo, Alan Nery, also met the Carnival queen at the event.

It is worth remembering that the last Carnival queen contest took place in 2020 due to the cancellations of the 2021 and 2022 editions, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
