The National Meteorology Office (Onamet) predicted for the afternoon of this Wednesday that the incidence of a trough to the northwest of the Dominican territory and a tropical wave to the southeast of Puerto Rico, will generate moderate or strong downpours with thunderstorms and wind gusts over the northeast, northwest, north, Central mountain range and the northern part of the border area.
The organism foresees maximum temperatures between 31ºC and 33ºC, the minimum between 22ºC and 24ºC.
Under this prediction, the Emergency Operations Center (COE) maintains 11 provinces on alert for possible floods of rivers, streams and ravines, as well as urban and sudden floods.
