Manuel Pellegrini and Claudio Bravo’s Real Betis host Sevilla in a derby for the second round of the Copa del Rey this Friday, at the Benito Villamarín stadium. At a press conference, the Chilean coach played the mystery about the inclusion of Claudio Bravo.

It should be remembered that Bravo has been away for several weeks and a few days ago the quarantine ended after the positive cases of coronavirus in Betis. Will he, Rui Silva or Joel Robles be the one to save? Will at least 1 of the national team be on the bench?

“As in any other position on the field, for me the more alternatives I have, the better it is. At this moment we have the three goalkeepers in good condition and we will see tomorrow who is in charge of stopping. The important thing is that the three of them give us full confidence at this moment, ”said Pellegrini.

Regarding the derby, he said that “after the match we played against Sevilla for La Liga, of course we were all upset and hurt, because it was a match that was thrown off balance by a specific action. Now playing at home is going to be a plus. We have our people supporting and it is a joy that the game is in our house. It will be a great show ”.

“We know the importance of derbies in this city between Seville and Beits. We have to have the mentality of a final, but we must not ignore that we are to go to the quarterfinals of the cup, and eliminating Betis’s greatest rival would be doubly important. The important thing is to qualify and if it is against Seville for the people it will be very important ”, added the engineer.

And if the inclusion of Bravo is a mystery, the DT did confirm the casualties he will have in search of the Copa del Rey quarterfinals against Sevilla: “Willian began to work with the group, it is one more advance but he is not going to be scheduled for tomorrow’s game. Bartra has not trained and he will not be there for tomorrow either ”, declared Manuel Pellegrini.
