When the season ends, clubs and fans start to think about the schedule for next year, and Red Bull Bragantino, which is still struggling to reposition itself in the G-4 and consequently win a spot in the next edition of the Libertadores, starts planning the coming and going of players who may or may not reinforce the team for the 2022 season.

Bragantino currently has seven athletes at the end of their contract and who may leave the club on December 31st. Among the seven, Bruno Tubarão, Edimar and Léo Realpe, are the three players who belong to Massa Bruta, but may have their bags ready to follow a new destination. The detail is that two of them suffered injuries recently.

This is the case of Léo Realpe, who ended up suffering a ligament injury during the match against Grêmio and is at the disposal of the Medical Department. In addition, the player suffered sprains in the knee and ankle. The Ecuadorian defender, only 20 years old, left Independiente to sign with Bragantino in 2020, on the occasion the club invested 900 thousand euros, according to information from Transfermarkt. This season he played in eight games for the Brasileirão and four in the State Championship.

Bruno Tubarão also suffered this year with a series of injuries. In February, the 26-year-old attacking midfielder underwent surgery and when he was close to returning to the field, he ended up suffering a new fracture in his ankle. It was only this week that the player finally finished the transition work and went back to training with the rest of the squad. The situation of Edimar remains unknown, in an interview with Rádio 102 FM, from Bragança Paulista, the executive director of Bragantino, Thiago Scuro, said that the definition of the player’s future would be informed in the coming days and did not confirm whether the athlete should stay or not on the team.

The other four players at the end of their contract are at the club on loan, namely: Rafael Luiz, Cuello, Eric Ramires and Helinho. According to information from GE, in the case of Helinho, who was loaned by São Paulo and Eric Ramires, a midfielder loaned by Bahia, the club must exercise the clause for the definitive purchase of the players’ rights and both must reinforce the squad in 2022. According to the GE, Massa Bruta opened a dialogue with Atlético Tucuman, from Argentina, to continue counting on striker Tomás Cuello, who has been selected as a starter. Right-back Rafael Luiz arrived at the club in March this year, but he did little and currently serves as an option on the bench, but should return to Ferroviária at the end of this season.
