An element of the decor announces the entry on the scene of the sidekick of the Dark Knight in the mythology of the franchise.
It is no longer clear if the DCUniverse is supposed to be a continuity, between the Suicide Squad, The Flash and The Batman, to which mixes the Justice League by Zack Snyder. In any case, he will introduce a Robin for the first time!
The next movie Batgirl began production in Glasgow, Scotland, and a mural that will be featured in the film sets shows a Gotham protected by Batman … and Robin!
FYI #Batgirl peeps, that Gotham City mural isn’t just of Batman…Robin features in it too!
Does that mean we’ll see Dick Grayson in the movie!?

However, the acolyte of the Dark Knight never existed in the current DCUniverse. His last appearance in flesh and blood goes back, of course, to the cult nanar Batman and robin (by Joel Schumacher, in 1997). Chris O’Donnell played the character at the time. So 25 years later, will there be a new Robin in live action?
Note that, technically, Robin’s costume made a very brief appearance in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (in 2016), exhibited in the Batcave, and covered with a graffiti signed by the Joker … He would then have possibly been tortured and killed by the psychopath, in the mythology of Ben Affleck’s Batman.
By the way, there is a Robin currently on the small screen, in the series Titans (to see on Netflix in France). He is played by Brenton Thwaites. But the latter is not canon in the DCUniverse.
Batgirl will therefore tell the adventures of Barbara Gordon, daughter of Gotham policeman James Gordon. Already embodied in 1967 and then in 1997 by Yvonne Craig and Alicia Silverstone, this super-heroine will this time have the features of the actress Leslie Grace. The film will not make its way to theaters and will be released direct to streaming on HBO Max. No date yet.
