The curlers of the Russian national team beat the Turkish team in the round-robin match of the European Championship, which takes place in Lillehammer, Norway.

Skip Alina Kovaleva, vice-skip Yulia Portunova, Galina Arsenkina and Ekaterina Kuzmina finished the meeting with a score of 10: 1 in their favor.

Our team led by Sergei Belanov and Irina Kolesnikova won the sixth victory in Lillehammer with two defeats. Previously, the Russians defeated the national teams of Italy, Germany, Czech Republic, Denmark, Sweden. And they lost to the Swiss and Scottish women. In the group stage, they only have to play a match against Estonians.

After eight rounds, the Kovaleva skip team occupies an intermediate second line and is guaranteed to advance to the playoffs. The Scottish national team is in the lead. The Swedes also secured a place in the semifinals. One more team must qualify. In addition, the top seven teams will qualify for the 2022 World Cup.
