Governor Juan Schiaretti this Wednesday enabled the first stage of the natural gas network from Villa Icho Cruz, in the department of Punilla.
On his way through Punilla, the governor was accompanied by the Minister of Public Services, Fabián López; the general director of Infrastructure, Rubén Borello; the local mayor, Pablo Tessio; the mayor of Carlos Paz, Daniel Gómez Gesteira; and the secretary of Social Action, Deborah Petrakovsk.
From the installation of 4,500 meters of networks, the Provincial Government provides connection to the service to 107 potential users, benefiting some 428 inhabitants of the town, generating the possibility of improving the quality of life of residents.
“I am happy to see the first connections to natural gas in the town. This represents a before and after in families, because it improves their quality of life and allows savings because a bottle comes out five times more than gas. That is why it was our decision to build the trunk gas pipelines, the largest public work undertaken by the Province in its history.“, beginning Schiaretti.
The governor remarked that the domiciliary network will benefit tourism in the region and added that «This is great news because that is progress and dignity for families”.
In addition, the president undertook to cooperate with local works and made the delivery of 7 million pesos to roof the sports center that is being built in that locality.
For his part the Mayor of Icho Cruz, Pablo Tessio expressed his gratitude to the Provincial government for the commitment assumed with the development of the town: “Being able to roof the sports center is a work with great social sensitivity, which in times of pandemic has a greater need in the containment of our children and neighbors, allowing us to continue developing activities. To inaugurate natural gas is to bet on work and progress, it is to bring a fundamental service to the town. We are very happy“Tessio concluded.
Similarly, this Wednesday the governor visited Cuesta Blanca and met with the mayor Ana Gaitán to deliver 5 million pesos for the construction of the first stage of the dispensary.
“They already have land, now we come to give a little push to start up the structure. Health is a fundamental human right and the State must be providing this health service. Today a dispensary in Cuesta Blanca is essential for residents and tourists“, beginning Schiaretti.
Also in this commune, the delivery of four kits of materials corresponding to Seed Homes for 1.5 million pesos for materials and 300 thousand for labor.

During his tour of the south of Punilla, the governor renewed the commitment of the provincial government with the San Roque Lake healing.
“We have to clean up the entire basin of Lake San Roque. They are works that are not seen but are essential for human health, for the care of the ecology and the environment”Said the Governor.
It should be noted that the Province is awarding the agreement to be able to carry out the trunk collector of the southern basin, from Cuesta Blanca, passing through Icho Cruz, Tala Huasi, Mayu Sumaj, San Antonio de Arredondo and the south of Carlos Paz. This work will have an investment of 780 million pesos.
