Schumacher is a sports documentary about the German Formula 1 racer Michael Schumacher. It will definitely delight Formula 1 fans, but not only them.

The Netflix document was released on September 15, 2021, which coincides exactly with the date of Schumacher’s entry into Formula 1 thirty years ago. The film maps the career of the seven-time F1 world champion, Schumacher’s entire rise to prominence, as well as his injuries and convalescence.

It was created in collaboration with the Schumacher family using private family archives, archival footage from Formula 1 and interviews, and offers interviews with Schumacher’s wife Corinna, his father Rolf, brother Ralf and his children Gina-Maria and Mick. There are also observations and exclusive interviews with important Formula 1 personalities, such as Sebastian Vettel, Mika Häkkinen, Damon Hill, David Coulthard, Jean Todt, or Bernie Ecclestone.

The film was made for Netflix by directors Hanns-Bruno Kammertöns and Michael Wech, who are already behind the documentary Schumacher from 2019. Documentary filmmaker Vanessa Nöcker participated with them in the creation.
