Bilateral relations and Ukraine were discussed by Erdogan and Macron

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had a telephone conversation with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron, during which they discussed steps to improve relations between the two countries and regional issues, in particular the Russia-Ukraine war.

According to a statement from the Turkish Presidency, during the telephone conversation, the Turkish President congratulated Emmanuel Macron on his re-election as President of France. He said Turkey-France relations are also important in terms of the global role of the common continent, Europe.

Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan also told the French president that Turkey has made every effort to end the war in Ukraine through diplomacy, adding that it is important to support the negotiation process.
