Compromise and ... disappointment in the delays for our National


The National Team of Cyprus drew 2-2 against Northern Ireland in Belfast, in the context of the 4th match for the groups of the Nations League (second group of the third category).

Our National had the victory in its hands, as it was ahead with 2-1 until 90 + 3 ‘, however the hosts equalized in the fourth minute of the delays.

Ethniki opened the scoring in the 32nd minute of the match, with Hambo committing a foul and then Kakoullis with a header, touching the ball as much as he needed, sent it into the net, thus scoring his first goal with the Ethniki jersey, but and the first goal of Cyprus in this year’s Nations League.

A minute later, Christofi scored a third goal for Cyprus which was later canceled as offside.

It is reminded that the leader in the group is Greece with nine points, which is playing tonight (21:45) with the second in the ranking Kosovo, which has collected six points. They are followed by Cyprus and Northern Ireland, which have two points each.
