With a percentage of alcohol in his body almost eight times beyond the allowed limit, a 35-year-old man was found to be driving, this afternoon, on the Limassol-Nicosia highway. The 35-year-old was charged in writing and is expected to appear in court tomorrow.
Specifically, around 4.15pm. Today, a member of the Traffic Headquarters stopped for inspection a car that was moving on the Limassol – Nicosia highway, despite the exit of Kotsiatis. The 35-year-old driver of the vehicle underwent a breathalyzer test, with a lower final reading of 160μg%, while the maximum is only 22μg%.
The 35-year-old, after being arrested for a self-inflicted crime, was transferred to the Police Station, where he was charged in writing and fired.
Tomorrow, he is expected to appear before the District Court of Nicosia for immediate registration of a case against him.
