Ukraine has offered Russia an exchange of Russian prisoners of war with severely wounded Azovstal defenders in Mariupol, Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister for Humanitarian Affairs Irina Veresuk said tonight.
“There is no agreement yet. “Negotiations are continuing,” she added in an internet post.
According to Veresuk, the Ukrainian government is considering various options to end the siege of Azovstal. He noted, however, that “none of them are perfect.”
One dead, three injured in village bombing, Belgorod governor says
One person was killed and three others were injured in a bomb blast near southwestern Russia on Friday, the governor of Belgorod Oblast, Vyacheslav Gladkov, said.
“So far, one person has died, an ambulance has died and three others have been injured in the bombing of a border village,” Gladkov told the Telegram.
