Limassol: His bicycle was stolen, he was beaten and money was taken

The authorities handcuffed a 20-year-old man for robbery and assault on a 33-year-old man in Limassol.

According to the Police, on August 4 around two in the afternoon, a 33-year-old man reported to the Police that a short time earlier and while he was in a store, an unknown person stole his bicycle along with two other persons.

The 33-year-old followed them on foot while at the same time filming them with his mobile phone.

When the bike driver noticed him, he took out a knife from his pocket with which he tried to hit the complainant who avoided being hit while a second person punched him in the face.

The 33-year-old fell to the ground from the blows and a sum of 200 euros fell out of his pants pocket, which they stole and ran away.

The 33-year-old went to the first aid of the Limassol General Hospital where he was examined by the doctors on duty, who found that he had lost a tooth and was bleeding in the oral cavity.

After testimony emerged against a 20-year-old, he was arrested and appeared before a court today which ordered his detention for six days.
