Lukashenko: "We are alone with Russia and you are 50"

Belarussian President Alexander Lukashenko has accused the West of being “haunted” by Nazi ideology and of being “at war with Russia” in Ukraine, which has been the target of a Russian attack for two and a half months.

“It is no secret that the whole Western world is at war with Russia in Ukraine,” said Lukashenko, 67, who has ruled Belarus since 1994 and is a close ally of Vladimir Putin, offering the country territory. for the Russian attack.

“More than 50 Western countries are united today against Russia,” he said.

Mr Lukashenko also blamed Western economic sanctions on Moscow, as well as on Minsk, for the war in Ukraine, saying “efforts to strangle Belarus” would only make it “stronger”.

“Neither legally nor morally do Belarusians have the right not to support Russia,” he said.

“We are alone with Russia. And you are 50,” said the Belarusian president.
