Mustaches were shaved for Movember in the old port of Limassol

With the aim of raising awareness for the prevention of prostate cancer and as part of the Movember Cyprus events, the Cyprus Ports Authority shaved off mustaches in the old port of Limassol.

As stated in the GTP announcement, the ALK initiative was supported by football players from the three Limassol teams, Apollon, AEL and Ari, as well as members of Apollon Ladies, who had the opportunity to show their support for the charitable cause and interact with the public who attended the event.

Welcoming the event, the President of the Cyprus Ports Authority, Dr. Antonis Stylianou, referred to the importance of raising awareness for the specific cause and the contribution of organizations such as the Cyprus Ports Authority, for the wider transmission of the campaign’s messages, especially in one of the most popular destinations for the public, such as the old port of Limassol.

The Director of the Port of Limassol, Panagiotis Agathokleous in his statement said that the event has now been institutionalized and “with the support of the Administration and Management we continue promoting the purposes of informing about men’s health”.

The Cyprus Ports Authority thanks the participants and in particular the local groups and organized groups of the city who supported the event with their participation, as well as the Deputy Minister of Shipping Vassilis Dimitriadis, the Mayor of Limassol Nikos Nicolaidis and the members of parliament who honored the event with their presence .
