A fire broke out on Tuesday afternoon in an apartment on the 2nd floor of an apartment building in Pallouriotissa, from which no one was in danger and it has been extinguished.
According to a post on Twitter by the Press Representative of the Fire Service, Andreas Ketti, “the fire has been extinguished, ventilation and evacuation were carried out as well as a count of the occupants, while no one was in danger”.
The apartment suffered extensive damage. 3 fire trucks with personnel from the Nicosia Fire Stations responded to the extinguishing. The causes of the fire will be investigated in cooperation with the Police.
Moreover, earlier today a fire broke out in an apartment on the 7th floor on Eleftheriou Venizelou street in Limassol beach.
According to Mr. Ketti’s post, “the fire started from a forgotten gas stove and then spread to equipment and the paint of the kitchen.”
Inside the apartment there were 3 persons who left before the arrival of P.Y.
Limassol Fire Stations responded with 3 fire trucks.
Finally, in the afternoon a fire broke out at the Mennogeia Hospitality Center which was extinguished before the arrival of the PY by guards.
On behalf of PY, as mentioned by Andreas Kettis, “the space and temperatures were checked with the thermal camera”. An empty plastic house 2X4m was burnt and its equipment was extensively damaged.
EMAK responded with 2 fire engines. The causes are being investigated by the Police.
