Virtual and augmented reality on cell phones?  HTC will present a new release based on the metaverse

HTC has announced through his social networks that he will present his next ‘smartphone‘ on June 28, a device that could be focused on the vision of the metaverse of the company, Viverse.

The Taiwanese manufacturer presented Viverse within the framework of the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona (MWC), an immersive and unlimited environment of new experiences that seeks to enhance creativity, collaboration and connection with other users and supported by NFT platforms, such as VIVE Arts NFT and LIVE Bytes.

He also announced at this event that in April he would present a high-end smartphone, the first he would announce in years, focused on immersive experiences.

According to the company’s general manager for the Asia-Pacific region, Charles Hung, this smartphone would integrate certain virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (RA) functions.

However, it has not been until now the company has indicated on Twitter that at the end of June it will unveil a new device based on Viverseof which he has not yet commented on details.

It is not the first time that the Asian company has shown interest in the latest technological trends, since in 2018 it entered the universe of cryptocurrencies and the ‘blockchain’ with the HTC Exodus 1 model.
