Nintendo shared some new information about their upcoming exclusive game: Xenoblade Chronicles 3, as part of its latest Nintendo Direct. The company revealed the plot, gameplay and characters of the new installment of the saga.
It was announced that Xenoblade Chronicles 3, which is a fantasy RPG, will feature a real-time battle system that will allow you to freely switch characters mid-combat. The game will be out next July 29 and is the sequel to Xenoblade Chronicles 2, but with new characters and plot.
The game takes place in the world of Aionios, which is torn apart by the conflict between two nations: Agnus and Keves. Nevertheless, six young champions, three from Agnus and three from Keves, realize that they have a common enemy and decide to team up to reach Swordmarch, a place that would be the key to saving the world. As they continue their quest facing ferocious creatures, they must flee from the armies of their nations, as they are now considered traitors. Now the protagonists will have to use all their combat skills, strategy and even merge with each other in order to achieve their mission.

The player’s team will be made up of six characters, the protagonists of the story, who may occasionally be supported by a seventh member with the role of “Hero”.
From the nation of Agnus, we have the fearless leader Noah, the blunt but sincere Eunie, and the burly fighter Lanz. While Keves’ warriors are the compassionate Mio, the genius strategist Taion, and the powerful Sena. Throughout the game you will be able to learn more about the past of the protagonists, especially Noah, the main character.
everyone has one fighter class that determines their way of attacking or defending. Also, there will be the ability ‘Uroboros’, a transformation that allows two characters to merge and combine their abilities temporarily.
