The production developed by Ava DuVernay, the same director of “Olhos que Condenam”, will tell the life of the former football player and activist, Colin Kaepernick. The series launched by Netflix, won a premiere for October 29 and a full trailer, resuming his trajectory from his school days, where he already starts showing actor Jaden Michael in the role of Kaepernick.

Actors Nick Offerman and Mary-Louise Parker play Colin’s parents, Rick and Teresa, while Kaepernick’s voice guides viewers through historical and contemporary contextual moments.

The six-episode drama chronicles the player’s coming of age facing the obstacles of race and portrays the former player’s life as he grew up in the midst of a white family that adopted him, following his journey to become one of football’s great quarterbacks. The production also explores the reasons that led Colin to become an important defender of civil rights, having been one of the driving forces behind the movement.
