An event that for two years put us living in a parallel world, as was the covid-19 pandemic, has everything to leave deep and unsuspected marks in the collective psyche. In the United States, for example, there is no doubt that the pandemic brought about a transformation in the job market that had not occurred since the 2008 recession. Whether because they were forced to find alternatives or because they realized that life could be different, millions of Americans refused to go back to their old jobs or, at least, to go back with the same ones ordained. The result was rising wages, especially for less skilled workers.
