A "Game Jam" Belgium-Japan on the occasion of the princely mission!

A Belgian-Japanese Game Jam

As part of the Prince’s economic mission which will take place from December 5 to 9, 2022 in Japan, and will take more than 300 Belgian technology companies, including some members of Walgaa Belgian-Japanese Game Jam will be co-organized by Walgathe Liege Game LabI’Awex and WBI.

The Game Jam will take place between December 2 and 4.

For students

121 Belgian and 66 Japanese students, divided into 20 hybrid teams, mixing various skills profiles, will create video games related to the theme of the mission: the decarbonization of the economy and climate issues.

The winning team will win a trip to the country of their teammates.

Projects will be streamed Wednesday December 7 on Walga’s Twitch channel allowing the public to vote for their favorite games.

A professional jury will select the winners who will be announced on 9/12 at Manga Museum in Kyoto in the presence of the Princess Astrid and the official delegation.

A call is open to all teachers and professionals in the video game industry to support participants during the Game Jam in various areas of expertise (artistic, programming, game design, sound design, marketing or French-Japanese translation again).
