CSKA captain Igor Akinfeev believes that in the future Vladislav Torop can replace him at the gates of the army club. About this he declared Match TV.
“You can easily imagine Vladislav Torop [в воротах ЦСКА]. We in the team call him Slava. Everything is in his hands – a great prospect, a great talent. Everything will depend on him. He should just always think with his head. I always talk to him at the base for a long time. He has many strong qualities. God forbid that he grows into a great goalkeeper, ”said Akinfeev.
Akinfeev spoke about the desire to play big football for another two years
18-year-old Torop is the club’s second goalkeeper. He made his debut for the main team of CSKA on September 23, 2021 in the Russian Cup match against Zenit Izhevsk. Last season he played three matches in the first team.
In May, 36-year-old Akinfeev extended his contract with CSKA until the end of the 2023/24 season.
Akinfeev is a graduate of the CSKA Academy, in which he has been studying since the age of four. For the main part of CSKA, the goalkeeper made his debut in 2003. As part of CSKA, Akinfeev won six Russian championships, six Russian Cups, seven national Super Cups and the UEFA Cup.
