Russian mixed martial arts fighter Alexander Emelianenko will fight Vyacheslav Datsik next. About this Emelianenko informed in your Telegram channel.

The athlete posted a video in which he and his opponent sign a contract for the fight. Emelianenko and Datsik will meet in a boxing match scheduled for September this year.

40-year-old Emelianenko had 38 fights according to MMA rules, in which he won 28 victories and suffered nine losses, one more fight ended with a draw. The last time Emelianenko fought according to the rules of mixed martial arts in November last year against the Brazilian Marcio Santos, whom he lost in the first round by choke. In September, Emelianenko fought against blogger Artem Tarasov according to the rules of boxing, in which he won by unanimous decision. In February of this year, Emelianenko defeated Jeff Monson in a bare-knuckle fight.

On account of the 45-year-old Datsik, four victories in boxing with one defeat. In mixed martial arts, he won 13 victories and suffered 16 defeats.

Both athletes were serving sentences in places of deprivation of liberty. Emelianenko was convicted in May 2015 for rape, stealing a passport and inducing drug use for 4.5 years. He left the colony at the end of 2016 on parole. Datsik was repeatedly judged. The first time he was detained in 2007 during the investigation of a series of robbery attacks on communication shops. The court found him insane and placed him in a psychiatric hospital in St. Petersburg, from where he escaped and went to Norway. Datsik asked for political asylum from the Norwegian authorities, but in Oslo he was again convicted for illegal possession of weapons and in 2011 he was extradited to Russia. After Datsik was transferred to Russia, he was sentenced to five years in prison for an assault on a communications salon, which he committed after escaping from the hospital. Datsik was released in 2016, after which he attacked an underground brothel and was sentenced to prison. In February 2019, Datsik was released.
