Antwerp is still looking for a top striker for next season. An important track is Vincent Janssen.

These are good times for Vincent Janssen anyway. On Tuesday evening, when the Orange squad plays against Wales, he will make his comeback with the Dutch national team after five years. He will celebrate his 28th birthday on Wednesday. And then a transfer must also follow.

Janssen plays for the Mexican Monterrey, which bought him from Tottenham in 2019. After three years, however, he thinks it is time for something new, especially with a view to the World Cup. A return to Europe beckons and a transition to our country is an option.

Antwerp is very interested and has already taken the necessary steps. But there are even more Belgian top clubs that follow the file closely. The expensive file, because Monterrey paid 9 million euros at the time and there are the demands of the player, who earns about 2 million euros net per year in Mexico. At the Bosuil, they are therefore also investigating the possibility of a rental with purchase option. Janssen has already proved in the past that he knows the target. Especially at AZ, where he became top scorer in 2016.
