With competition from names like Vinícius Jr, Rodrygo, Hazard and co., Marco Asensio has not been receiving as many opportunities as in previous years and may be leaving the European champion. According to journalist Ekrem Konur, a specialist in the transfer market, his fate could be Italian football in a deal with Milan, the current champions of the country.

“AC Milan wants to sign 26-year-old Marco Asensio from Real Madrid as a free agent.” Since 2015 at the Club, Asensio has won three Champions League titles, his contract with the Whites is valid for another season until June 2023. According to Transfermarkt, the athlete’s market value is estimated at 40 million euros.

Now 26, Asensio was revealed by Mallorca and caught Real Madrid’s attention in the 2014-15 season, when he scored six goals in 36 games. In July 2015, Real paid 3.9 million euros to keep the athlete. Since then, he has still been loaned to Espanyol to finally gain space in the Real Madrid first team from 2016.

In all, the striker played six consecutive seasons for Real Madrid and won three Champions League titles, as well as three La Liga titles and three other Club World Cups. Last season, the player performed well even without being an absolute starter and scored 12 goals and scored two assists in 43 matches.

In addition to Milan, Juventus and Tottenham also showed interest in the 26-year-old. While there is no agreement, Asensio remains in the Real Madrid squad and could be at the disposal of coach Carlo Ancelotti for the UEFA Super Cup against Eintracht Frankfurt.
