Bad news on the night of Frankfurt’s qualifying for the Europa League final. The middle engine from the Bundesliga is already working on next season and has managed to make a bargain with Aurelio Buta from Antwerp. The right back signs for four seasons and comes across as transfer-free.

The Portuguese had an expiring contract with the Great Old anyway and an agreement about an extended stay at the Bosuil was not in line with expectations. Frankfurt had been preying on Buta for a while, who will finally wave Antwerp goodbye after five seasons.
In the summer of 2017, just after being promoted to 1A, he made the switch from SL Benfica. It took a while before Buta could work his way up to solid value, but at times he showed himself as an absolute scourge on the right flank. The Portuguese has now played 128 games for Antwerp and scored two goals.
