Galo de Itu ended the season with a valued squad after reaching the last round of Série B fighting for access to the national elite

The current season was one of ascension for Ituano. Back in Serie B of the Brazilian Championship after 14 years, Galo de Itu ended the dispute as symbolic champion of the second round and fighting until the last round for unprecedented access to the national elite. Shortly after the end of the competition, the Board acted behind the scenes and renewed the contract with coach Carlos Pimentel, a prominent figure in the Rubro sprint in the final stretch of the Premiership.

Defender and captain Rafael Pereira, right-back Raí Ramos and defensive midfielder Lucas Siqueira also extended their ties. On the other hand, the Club lost two Pimentel starters. They were: left-back Roberto and striker Aylon. The cast still had the departure of another striker: Bremer.

Two more casualties in Pimentel’s group were confirmed this ugly Thursday (17). Defender Léo Santos and defensive midfielder Dudu Vieira made publications on their social networks saying goodbye to Galo.
