Beerschot opens season against SK Beveren, Lierse K. goes to Jong Genk on the first match day

The calendars for the upcoming football season in 1A and 1B were announced on Wednesday afternoon. The first five match days in the Jupiler Pro League were already leaked on Tuesday. In the Challenger Pro League, the new name for 1B, Beerschot opens on Saturday 13 August against SK Beveren. Lierse K. has to go to Jong Genk, the U23 team of KRC Genk, on the opening match day.

On Tuesday we already brought you the first five match days of the Jupiler Pro League. It was a déjà-vu to last season for Antwerp and KV Mechelen, because the two Antwerp teams will face each other again on the opening day. Westerlo will meet Cercle Brugge on the opening day.

Challenger Pro League

In 1B -renamed Challenger Pro League- play through the integration of four U23 teams from now on twelve clubs. Lierse K. will immediately meet such a U21 team. The Pallieters will play on the field of Jong Genk on Sunday 14 August. Beerschot already receives SK Beveren on Saturday. Although in an empty stadium, because the Kielse Ratten were imposed two home games behind closed doors by the Pro League. Beerschot-Lierse on match day 3 will therefore also continue without fans.

On matchday 5 (9-11 September) the fans are again welcome in the Olympic Stadium. Then the Kielse Ratten Lommel over the floor.
