Betting companies in 2021 sent 21 billion rubles. for Russian sports. Yury Krasovsky, head of the betting company Liga Stavok, announced this at the SPIEF.

“10 billion rubles. These are target allocations. 6 billion rubles were spent on sports broadcasts and another 5 billion rubles. — for direct contracts with athletes and organizations. Our company paid out more than 6 billion rubles,” Krasovsky said.

In May, a group of deputies submitted to the State Duma a draft law on tightening requirements for organizers of gambling and lotteries. The document provides that all targeted deductions from games that are based on risks will be transferred through the public law company Unified Gambling Regulator (ERAI).

In early June, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the government and the State Duma to legally increase deductions from gambling for the development of mass sports.
