Costa Rica, the last passenger of group E

ANDspaa already knows the team against which he will debut in the next World Cup in Qatar. Costa Rica, who made use of an early goal from Joel Campbell against New Zealand, will meet at the premiere of La Roja.

The ‘Ticos’ offered a real exercise in practicality in Doha to bend a New Zealand that deserved more. A goal two minutes into the game by Joel Campbell, a good dose of suffering and several interventions by Keylor sealed Costa Rica’s ticket to the next winter World Cup in Qatar.

New Zealand will remember that outing on the lawn of Doha with little tension. On the first ball that Costa Rica put into the area, they found the goal through Joel Campbell. The ‘Tico’ striker was more alive than anyone and he advanced the inside of his foot to cross enough to make Sail’s stretch impossible.

New Zealand reacted well and brought the ‘Ticos’ into their area. Supported in the arrivals by left band of Cacace Y Wood’s centimeters, which became a real nightmare for the Costa Rican defense. The Newcastle striker created second plays and also had good chances to the point of scoring a goal, already in the second half, which was well annulled due to a previous foul at the start of the play.

Barbarouses made it even harder

Costa Rica speculated excessively with the result but put up with it and breathed easy with the absurd expulsion of barbarouseswho a few minutes after entering the field left the game with an ugly and unnecessary entrance.

But not even with ten did New Zealand stop dominating and generating uncertainty. Costa Rica ended up getting into their area bailing balls and asking for the time. The ‘Ticos’ clock will now have to be readjusted to Qatar time. In November their seventh World Cup awaits them and a very demanding debut against Spain. There will be the ‘Ticos’ who will have to give the surprise.
