The Spanish national team enchanted the world of football and scored, this Wednesday (23), the best debut of the World Cup in Qatar. The team led by Luis Enrique was not aware of their opponent in the opening round and applied a resounding 7-0 in Costa Rica. It is Spain’s best debut and Fury’s biggest result in World Cup history.

More than that, with the 7-0 score, the Spaniards entered the list of the biggest goals of all editions of the World Cup. The brands with overwhelming results do not stop there. This is because, taking only the results of the premieres as a basis, Spain also entered an important ranking.

Who opened the scoring for the historic 7-0 Spanish in Qatar was striker Dani Olmo. And, with the goal scored this Wednesday (23), the player reached a mark that the King of Football had already reached there in the 1970 World Cup. Olmo’s goal was Spain’s hundredth in World Cups. Pelé scored the 100th goal for the Brazilian national team in the final of the 1970 Cup, when the Canarinho team reached its third championship. Today, Brazil has 229 goals scored in the entire history of the greatest football competition on the planet

Since 2002, the first round of the World Cup has not seen such an elastic score. 20 years ago, Germany beat Saudi Arabia 8-0. The Germans would end the World Cup as runners-up, losing to Brazil in the decision. It was the fifth championship of the Brazilian team.
