CRB was defeated by Vila Nova, 1-0, on the night of this Thursday (22), in a match valid for the 31st round of the Série B of the Brazilian Championship. With the second setback in a row, Galo da Praia sees itself further away from the race for access to the national elite.

More than that, for goalkeeper Diogo Silva, the result should serve as a warning sign for the Alagoas team in this final stretch of the Serie B dispute. For him, the Club can see the dream of qualifying for Serie A in 2023 being replaced by brawl at the bottom of the table in the final rounds:

“It gets more and more difficult (access). At this point, there’s not much to say. From the first half, we had the clearest chances to score and the ball didn’t want to go in. It’s having patience, working to not have suffering in this rest of the championship”, said the experienced archer.

Galo will sleep in ninth place, but may lose positions in the table, with the sequence of the round. The distance to the Z-4, which today is eight points, could also decrease in the coming days. The team from Alagoas returns to the field on Saturday (1st), for a new challenge away from home, this time against Ituano.
