The Russian Football Union (RFU) is not considering the option of moving from the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) to the Asian Football Confederation. This was announced by the President of the RFU Alexander Dyukov.

“We are not considering this option. We are members of UEFA, we remain so,” he said.

According to him, there were many rumors before the meeting of the executive committee and the UEFA conference that the RFU would be expelled from the organization. “But these are rumors that have no basis,” said Dyukov.

He recalled that he took part in the UEFA executive committee. “There was no such issue on the agenda. Nobody puts the question like that,” the president said.
