Europa League: Rafael Santos Borré put Eintracht Frankfurt in the final against Rangers

The final of the 2021-2022 edition of the Europe League will face the German Eintracht Frankfurt with the Scottish Glasgow Rangers, on May 18 in Seville, after the dispute this Thursday of the second leg of the semifinals.

Eintracht, who had already won 2-1 in the first leg in London against West Ham, finished the job by winning 1-0 at home with a goal from Colombian ex-River Rafael Santos Borrewhile Rangers overcame the 1-0 loss suffered in the first leg by beating RB Leipzig 3-1 in the second leg in Scotland, thus preventing a ‘100% German’ final.

The Conference League also has its finalists

Feyenoord, from the Netherlands, with the Argentine defender Mark Senesi As captain, he qualified for the final of the first edition of the Conference League, the third most important European tournament, by drawing goalless away with Olympique de Marseille, from France, directed by jorge sampaoli.

In the first leg, Feyenoord had won 3-2 and today’s draw allowed them to qualify for the final.

There, Senesi’s team will face Rome (Italy), which beat Leicester City, from England, by 1-0 at home with a goal by Tammy Abraham (11m PT). In the first leg they had tied 1-1.

The final will be played Wednesday May 25 from 4:00 p.m. (Argentine time) at the Arena Kombëtare stadium in Tirana, Albania.

The winner will secure a place for the next edition of the Europa League, the second most important continental competition behind the Champions League.
