FC Barcelona sees Gerard Pique injured again

At FC Barcelona, central defender Gerard Pique has again dropped out with an injury to the left adductors, the Spanish club announced on Thursday.

The 35-year-old Pique was out for two weeks last month with an injury to the adductors, as a result of which he missed the return leg of the quarter-finals in the Europa League. In it, Barça was eliminated by Eintracht Frankfurt, which is now close to the final.

On April 21, he celebrated his return against Real Sociedad, but last weekend against Mallorca he had to leave after 28 minutes. His season ended with a bit of bad luck. However, Barcelona faces crucial weeks: the current number two in La Liga hopes to secure his Champions League ticket for next season in the four remaining league matches, against Betis, Celta, Getafe and Villarreal. With eight points more than Betis, fifth in the standings, they are already on the right track.
