There is no clear favorite in the upcoming fight between Russian Vadim Nemkov and American Corey Anderson. This was announced to RBC Sport by the former Bellator welterweight champion Andrey Koreshkov.
“It’s going to be an interesting fight. It’s hard for me to single out a favorite, because before their first fight, I thought that Vadim was the favorite. In that fight, before the oversight of Corey Andersen, Vadim was losing, I think. The fight didn’t go well for him then. This time, Vadim must take into account all the nuances and bad moments from the last fight and work on the mistakes. If Corey Andersen does not change, then Vadim will easily adapt to him. I find it difficult to say who is the favorite, I can’t name either one or the other, but I will root for Vadim, ”said Koreshkov.
Ex-Bellator champion called Makhachev the favorite in the fight for two UFC titles
The fight against Russian Vadim Nemkov will be the main event of the Bellator 288 tournament. The reigning light heavyweight champion will fight again against American Corey Anderson. Their previous fight took place on April 16 as part of the Bellator Grand Prix final in San Jose and was declared invalid after the American cut the Russian’s eyebrow with his head in the third round.
The 30-year-old Nemkov, who defended the Bellator championship twice, has 14 wins and two losses in his career. Anderson, 32, has a record of 16 wins and five losses.
