Wolf Maya bet on Tatá at the beginning of her career as an actress
Tatá Werneck is one of the main names in Rede Globo’s humor. However, not everyone liked her. Who revealed a name that had “rancidity” of the comedian was the author Wolf Maya, 68 years old. In the podcast “Papagaio Falante”, presented by actor Renato Rabelo and comedian Sérgio Mallandro on YouTube, he recalled his time at the station and told about remarkable episodes.
In one of the parts, Wolf Maya, who left Globo in 2016, when his contract was not renewed by the station, revealed his admiration for Tatá Werneck. However, he said that not everyone looked at the comedian with the same eyes. “There were a lot of people who thought differently. [sobre Tatá]. I sweated man [para emplacá-la]!” he revealed.
The author also said that actor Silvio de Abreu did not like Tatá and revealed the reason. “At the time, I don’t know who was in charge, I think it was Silvio de Abreu… He hated her! He didn’t want Tatá at all!”, he revealed.
“He [Silvio] found her unattractive. She said she was a one-character actress. I spoke [para ele]: ‘hold!’ Maybe she’s even ‘one character’, but she cuts her character according to her need, where she’s acting from, and it’s genius”.
Wolf Maya was responsible for Tatá’s entry into the world of soap operas. Among them, the comedian participated in “I Love Paraisópolis” and “Amor à Vida”. Both novels were directed by Maya.
