Formula 1 renews the Melbourne circuit until 2035

The continuity of another route for the next twelve years is now official. Formula 1 will continue on the Melbourne track until 2035, which means an extension of the existing contract for another ten years. It was signed until 2025. In addition, as the main novelty, from the year 2023 the Formula 2 and 3 races will be added to the calendar.A few months ago, in February, it also added Bahrin to the long term, neither more nor less than until 2036.

The Albert Park circuit welcomed 419,000 spectators last April, when this season’s Grand Prix was held. At the moment, it is unknown when the competition will be held next year, pending the configuration of the calendar and subject to the approval of the World Motor Sport Council.

The first reactions after this renewal have also arrived. “I am delighted to confirm that Melbourne and the Albert Park circuit will continue to be on the Formula 1 calendar until 2035,” said Stefano Domenicali, F1 Chairman and CEO.
