From historic World Cup scorer to coach: Miroslav Klose will lead Austria’s SCR Altach

The German striker after leaving football had dedicated himself to being an assistant, both in the German national team and in Bayern Munich, although this time he will have his first test by leading a stellar team.

It was at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil when the German miroslav kolse got on top like the top scorer in all World Cupswith 16 goals, surpassing the Brazilian Ronaldo who shone at the top since Germany 2006.

But the years go by and so do the races. That was how in 2016 his life took a turn as a coach. First helping in the German national team, then in the Bayern Munich Sub 17, but now he made the big leap: he will be the coach of the SCR Altach from Austria.

With the knowledge to the surface, where he was also Hans-Dieter Flick’s assistant at Bayern, the striker known for his large number of goals in the World Cups will have a new goal for his career.

“I’m really looking forward to starting my new job here. It was just that positive feeling from the beginning that I have to have, that I’m in the right place here,” Klose said.

The now 44-year-old coach seeks to write a new history, with the legacy of having converted in Korea and Japan 2002, Germany 2006, South Africa 2010 and Brazil 2014.
