Hoy No Circula on June 15: find out which vehicles will not leave on Wednesday according to their license plate

As is customary in Mexico, this Tuesday there will be ‘Today does not circulate‘ in 18 municipalities of the State of Mexico (Mexico) and another 16 delegations from Mexico City (CDMX). The program is promoted by the Government of Andrés Manuel López Obrador currently and its objective is to reduce and control the levels of contamination in the environment. For this, we urge all drivers in the country to know which vehicles will rest today, June 14, according to their license plate termination.

What vehicles rest on Wednesday, June 15?

As established by the Mexican authorities, this Wednesday, June 15, 2022, all vehicles with red rubber will rest, in addition to those with license plates 3 and 4; and holograms 1 and 2. The road ban will come into effect from 5:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. on the same day in CDMX and Edomex.

Hoy No Circula: how much is the fine for non-compliance?

If you do not comply with the rules of the ‘Hoy No Circula’ program, your vehicle will be taken to the corralón until you pay the economic fine that is around 20 or 30 times the Unit of Account in Mexico City, an equivalent of $1,509.80 – $2,264.70 pesos, while in the State of Mexico the penalty is $1,460.80 pesos.

Doble Hoy No Circula: when is it activated in Mexico?

The ‘Double Hoy No Circula’ usually comes into force in the central region of Mexico (CDMX, Edomex, Hidalgo, Morelos, Puebla, Tlaxcala and Querétaro) when the levels of environmental pollution are high and the ozone levels exceed 151 points. In this case, the restrictions affect vehicles with holograms 0, 00 and motorcycles.
