Athletico-PR visits Atlético-MG at 7pm this Sunday (7), at Arena da Baixada, in a match valid for the 21st round of the Brasileirão. The two teams will go to the field with a focus divided between the national Serie A and the Copa Libertadores. In midweek, the two clubs have challenges for the quarterfinals of the South American competition.

Playing at home, Hurricane drew goalless with Estudiantes last Thursday (4). Now, the team led by Felipão decides the vacancy in Argentina, next Thursday (11). Any tie leads to penalties and whoever wins advances to the semifinals. Thinking about Liberta’s playoffs, Felipão should play against Galo this Sunday for the Brazilian Championship.

Captain Thiago Heleno and midfielder Fernandinho lead the line of preserved holders, made up of right-back Khellven, midfielder Hugo Moura and striker Pablo. On the other hand, Terans, who did not play in the last round due to suspension, can go into the game. Thus, a likely Hurricane escalation has:

Benedict; Orejuela, Pedro Henrique, Nico Hernandez and Abner Vinícius; Léo Cittadini, Erick and Terans; Cuello, Vitor Roque and Canobbio. Hurricane is the current fourth-placed Brazilian and could end the round outside the G-4 if it doesn’t come back with a win for Mineirão. Flamengo and Internacional are on the tail, with one point less, while Galo is two points behind and can go ahead if they win.
