Tricolor das Laranjeiras returns to the field next Thursday (19), to face Unión Santa Fé, in Argentina, for the fifth round of the Sudamericana.

Another victory with the brand of Germán Cano. With two goals from the Argentine striker, Fluminense beat Athletico-PR 2-1, on Saturday night (14), at Maracanã, in a match valid for the sixth round of the Brasileirão Serie A. With the result, the Club reaches eight points and occupies the 11th place in the table.

“I think I’m doing very well. Scoring goals gives me a lot of confidence to continue even more. I work hard, every day. Work is essential to continue as I am doing now. Happy for the team’s victory, which was in dire need. Now it’s time to continue, to rest for whatever comes”, commented the striker after the final whistle.

Cano already has 15 in 30 games in the current season, playing for Flu. In the last three games, he hit the net four times. With the two goals scored by shirt 14 this Saturday (14), the Orange Tricolor reaches its second triumph in the national competition.

In six rounds, Flu has two wins, two draws and two losses. Tricolor’s next challenge will be on Thursday (19), for the Copa Sudamericana. The team from Rio visits Unión Santa Fé, in Argentina, for the fifth round of the Sula. The team led by Fernando Diniz needs to win to continue in the fight for the spot in the knockout stage.
