Athletico-PR entered the field last Sunday (12), to face Fortaleza and remain in the G-4 of the Brazilian Championship. However, the match valid for the 11th round of the tournament ended without goals and, thus, Hurricane took only one point home, adding 17 goals – five less than the leader Palmeiras.

For coach Felipão, the draw at Castelão was positive, since Hurricane had almost a complete team of absences: eight in total. Due to the number of absences, the coach had to make tactical changes on the field. “We don’t have 11 athletes on the team. So we have to arrange the team as best we can with the other athletes who are available, and some situations that we idealize are sometimes not the characteristics we want in our players.“, scored Scolari.

The midfielder Matheus Fernandes agreed with the teacher about the result having been positive to the Hurricane. “It lacked a little calm. But the team is evolving, we are managing to play well at home and abroad, this is very important. We got a point that is also very important for our classification in the championship and it’s always good to be scoring“, said the defender.

I’m already doing my work every day inside the CT, outside the CT, with meetings. Tomorrow, when we arrive, I have a meeting with the president to evaluate some situations”, pointed out the technician. In 5th place, Athletico-PR returns to the pitch to face Corinthians, at Arena da Baixada, next Wednesday (15), at 9:30 pm.
