Japanese video game maker Konami refuses to renew RPL contract
Konami announced the suspension of any activity in Russia. The Russian Premier League will no longer be in the games of the Pro Evolution Soccer series (eFootball)

The Russian Premier League (RPL) will no longer be in the football simulator Pro Evolution Soccer. Japanese video game maker Konami refused to renew the contract with the RPL, informs “Sport-Express”.
“The current RPL contract with Konami expired with the end of the 2021/22 season. Konami has notified the RPL of its withdrawal from negotiations for the 2022/23 season and the suspension of any activities in Russia,” the company’s press service said.
Russian clubs and national team removed from the game FIFA 22
Konami has been producing the Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) series of games since 2001. The latest version, which became known as eFootball 2022, came out in September last year. RPL appeared in the game with PES 2019.
In April of this year, EA Sports removed all Russian clubs and teams from another football simulator, FIFA 22.
